The inspiration behind this photo was the famous photo "Lunch atop a Skyscraper" by Charles Ebbets. My room overlooks the construction on campus, so I had a perfect shot from my window of the workers on the roof. The back lighting gave it sharp contrast, which I played up in the second of the two photos.
